Colorado Springs, Colo. (June 5, 2019) – USA Ultimate announced today the addition of Zoe Hecht to the 2019 U.S. U-24 Mixed National Team.

Hecht is a product of the Boston-area youth scene. She competed with Newton North High School and the BUDA girls’ teams at the Youth Club Championships from 2014-2017. She has continued her career at Oberlin College, where as a sophomore, she just helped lead the Preying Manti to their first-ever Division III College Championships title. Hecht also competes in the club division with Boston Siege.

Hecht replaces Isabel Arevalo on the U-24 National Team roster. Arevalo suffered a shoulder injury while playing with Carleton College Syzygy at the College Championships, an injury that will prevent her from competing at the U-24 World Championships this summer.

The 2019 World Flying Disc Federation’s World Under-24 Ultimate Championships will take place July 13-20, in Heidelberg, Germany.
