Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 3, 2019) – USA Ultimate announced today the addition of Jeff Weis to the 2019 U.S. U-24 Men’s National Team.
Weis started playing ultimate at the University of Chicago, where he competed in the college division for three seasons. He is currently a member of Chicago Machine in the men’s club division. Prior to joining Machine in 2017, he spent a year with Beachfront Property, also in the men’s club division.
Weis replaces Rick Hennighausen on the U-24 National Team roster. Hennighausen recently suffered a season-ending knee injury while competing with the University of North Carolina-Wilmington Seamen. He is the second U-24 Men’s National Team athlete to sustain such an injury this spring; Quinn Finer was recently added to the team to replace Will Lohre, who also suffered a knee injury.
The 2019 World Flying Disc Federation’s World Under-24 Ultimate Championships will take place July 13-20, in Heidelberg, Germany.
