Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 1, 2019) — Applications for assistant coaches are now open through July 15 for the WFDF 2020 World Ultimate and Guts Championships (WUGC).
USA Ultimate is seeking candidates to fill six assistant coach positions – two each in the men’s, mixed and women’s divisions.
Martin Aguilera (mixed), Matty Tsang (women) and Ben Van Heuvelen (men) will serve as head coaches for the quadrennial event, scheduled for July 11-18, 2020 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands.
As part of its continued efforts to enhance the size and diversity of its pool of qualified U.S. National Team coaches, USA Ultimate has increased the number of assistant coaches per team from one to two.
All assistant coach applicants will also be considered for roles pertaining to the selection and evaluation of tryout players.
USA Ultimate strives to increase its diversity at the coach level and beyond. Applicants of color, women, individuals with disabilities, people from low-income backgrounds and LGBTQIA+ applicants are encouraged to apply.
